Current Town Projects The KUDTF has advocated, and drawn plans for, improving the town's entrance bridge. This also included building a nature walk from that bridge all the way to the Hamakua Rd. Bridge at the other end of the Marsh…and this delightful project is probably going to be implemented with the help of volunteer labor. We have guided the UofH Urban Planning students as they researched and prepared a study for the side of Kailua north of Kailua Rd. and Ku'ulei Rd., and ideas for improvements may someday be implemented. We have participated with Kaneohe Ranch Co. in town meetings to help with ideas, and to make Kailua Town more walkable/pedestrian friendly, and enjoyable - and will continue to illustrate our ideas for these purposes, a Central Park, and more.
