Past Town Projects Kailua Road Landscaped Safety Islands & Undergrounded Powerlines The KUDTFF had already done the conceptual work and architectural drawings and site plan when former Mayor Jeremy Harris' Visioning Program benefited Kailua Town. Our project was accepted by the Visioning Team, the LaniKailua Outdoor Circle was a major participant, and the KUDTF (with Don Bremner leading the way) guided it through to fruition. Other than the landscaped safety islands, the "uplights" beneath the canopy trees, the major accomplishment was the undergrounding of all the powerlines above, which then provided an uncluttered sky-view.
