Past Town Projects
Kailua Sign

The KUDTF was formed in 1995 as a spin-off of the Kailua Chamber of Commerce (we became independent in 1998), and the first project tackled was the design of the logo. This implementation of the name and trademark was mounted over the old Kailua Sign.

It was created in mosaic tiles and dedicated at a ceremony

including then Mayor Jeremy Harris (seated in middle, with maile lei). Now we are considering moving it to the middle medial strip
because many new plantings have obscured it in its position on the far side of Kailua Road.
