Past Town Projects
School/Park Walkway

Our purpose was to help the elementary school children with a Safe Route to School, i.e., the schools' back gate…and to help Senior Citizens who use wheelchairs or walkers get to and from the library and meeting areas; and others to the gym, pool, and tennis courts. It is like an American Disabilities Act project, and to help parents pushing baby strollers, etc., all of which we observed struggling across the grass. Bicyclists and various sports users were also aided by this

new cemented path. Shown in the bottom two pictures are: Ken Sanders, KUDTF Project Chairman, receiving all the contents for our
Time Capsule from Jennifer Young, Asst. Principal, and some of the participating students…Also the Dedication Ceremony at the
Walkway completion, with Cliff Poteet, construction Superintendent, Dick Hagstrom, then Chairman (holding the Time Capsule),
Jennifer, Rev. Toni Baran (in back), the Elementary School Student President, and Ken (holding the Capsule Plaque).
