Past Town Projects As of Nov.'08, these are some of the projects that have either been completed or are in progress: 1. Kailua Entrance Sign - 1996, 2. Landscaped Safety Islands on Kailua Rd. - 2002-03, 3. Kailua District Park Walkway - 2006, 4. Draft Urban Kailua Bike Plan - Bicycles / pedestrians / transit - for Kailua's Urban Core, 5. Ku'ulei Rd. Landscaped Safety Islands/Safe Routes to School proposal 2007-08, trying to be funded by SRTS and in collaboration with the City and other partners, 6. Tree Planting Plan as proposed in 1998, a tree was planted everywhere there wasn't a tree, by 2003.
